Job Description

Summary

  • The schedule is M-F 7:30-4:00pm or 8:00-4:30pm. No weekends and no on-call duties!

    Maine Medical Center Department of Outpatient Psychiatry is hiring an Administrative Specialist II who performs a combination of administrative, project, and secretarial work for the Director or Senior Director of the department of Psychiatry. The ideal candidate is well-organized and detail oriented. This person must be friendly and have the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism. This position works with Excel spreadsheets and Outlook. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is important.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Maintaining calendars and scheduling
    • Taking meeting minutes, preparation of communications, material preparation, spreadsheet reporting and editing documents
    • Working on assigned projects
    • Ordering office supplies
    • Other Administrative tasks as needed

    **Epic or EMR experience is preferred

  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred. Demonstrated experience with all Microsoft Office suite products.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
