Summary

Spring Harbor, 1 East Development Disorders Unit

With capacity for 12 children, this program produces the highest quality treatment outcomes through a combination of expert programming, specially trained caregivers and the individual potential of each patient. It is an innovative research center for autism and houses the first playground in Maine created specifically for children with developmental disorders.

Position Highlights:

  • Sign-on bonus: Up to $5,000, amount prorated for part-time

What you will do:

Embark on an enlightening journey as you develop an intricate understanding of therapeutic interventions and interactions tailored for the unique diagnoses of our diverse patient population. Dive into the realm of compassionate care as you meticulously implement behavioral plans crafted specifically for developmentally challenged patients under the guidance of doctors. Experience the fulfillment of making a difference as you assist patients in mastering essential Daily Living Skills (ADLs) under the direction of our dedicated RNs. Responsibilities

  • Perform checks and document on patient's record in accordance with hospital policies
  • Work with the treatment team in the collection of pertinent data to assist in the development of individualized behavioral plans
  • Implement sensory schedules as indicated by behavioral plan
  • Observe and respond to codes and follow code leader's direction

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - "What you will need":

  • Education: High School diploma preferred. Bachelor's degree in Psychology preferred.
  • License/Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience and/or coursework in a social services related field required.
