Position Summary
-
Under the direction of a Cardiologist, Cardiac Sonographers perform ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Assumes responsibility for designated procedures and/or may be assigned duties as preceptor in areas of specific competence.

Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Cardiac Sonographer.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Knowledge of Cardiac anatomy and physiology as well as procedures and equipment at a level generally acquired through completion of an approved program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

License/Certifications: Valid state licensure as required by law. Registered in Cardiac Sonography RDCS or RCS and Current BLS.

Experience: Preferred minimum 5 years' experience.
