Summary

  • Position Summary
    • The health care work force of the future should have the knowledge and skills to provide patient-centered, community focused, cost-effective, clinically effective, coordinated care. To do these things successfully, the work force must be competent, flexible and adaptive to changes in health care delivery and technology. The Mammography Center Customer Service Representative is responsible for an efficient flow of administrative, secretarial, and clerical tasks in Radiology from the scheduling of patient's exams, reception of patient in the Breast Center and completing the admission process to allow "on-site" registration for Mammography patients. They are accountable for interpretation and coordination of physician's orders with 100% accuracy.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Completion of medical terminology course required.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in Radiology or Patient Registration required.
    • Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills.
    • Typing, faxing, copier and computer skills required.
    • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both the public and with health professionals at all levels.
    • Attention to accuracy and detail required.
