Job Description

Summary

Maine Medical Partners' Cancer Care Unit is actively seeking a scheduling specialist. This opportunity will be working directly with patients as they are scheduling their next appointments as well as the scheduling of other procedures.

This is a Monday through Friday position.

Position Summary

Position is responsible for performing appointment scheduling for a high-volume multi-physician specialty care practice, including coordination of Chemotherapies, and treatment plans.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: N/A
  4. Knowledge and skills of using office equipment.
  5. Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
  6. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks and have the flexibility to meet changing demands on a daily basis.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone.
  8. Excellent customer service skills.
  9. Strong computer skills.
  10. The ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  11. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  12. The ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direct supervision.
  13. The ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
