Summary

  • For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $20,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Respiratory Therapist

    Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

    Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

    Position Summary
    • To administer all Cardiopulmonary Services in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Waldo County General Hospital. To provide specified job related clerical duties and utilize respiratory therapy expertise in order to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care staff members. Function as part of the patient health care team with staff from other departments involving patient care activities. Assist the department manager with in-services and public relations activities. Organize and perform annual competency training for RT staff. Assist Nursing Education with Skills Days and new nurse training. Assist and perform any additional educational classes as necessary.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: N/A
    • License/Certifications: RRT licensure required. 10 years of acute care experience required. BLS and NRP required. ACLS strongly preferred.
    • Experience: One year of acute care experience preferred.
    • Availability to work any shift as needed; be available to take call on a regular basis.
    • Willing and motivated to learn and perform all modes of therapy that are provided by Cardiopulmonary.
    • Smoking cessation class within the first year of employment.
