Job Description

Summary

LincolnHealth, Damariscotta, ME is seeking a per diem Certified Nurse Midwife to join their team at the Watson Health Center, located on the beautiful Damariscotta River. The Certified Nurse Midwife is responsible for providing care to all patients, including history and physical examinations, Pap tests, patient education, diagnosing and treating common ailments, and providing in-office emergency care as necessary. The CNM will perform other tasks as requested by the Supervising Physician.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree or above; or four to ten years related to experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of the Midwifery Certification Program is required.
  • The ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. The ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. The ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, employees, customers and/or boards of directors.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with various abstract and concrete variables.
  • Registered with the State of Maine as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
