Summary

  • Position Summary
    • The Angiographic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging exams and interventional procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.  He/she promotes patient safety, verifies identification prior to exam, verifies patient physician(s), assists Radiologists/Cardiologists in fluoroscopy and sterile procedures, and ensures files are archived to PACS and completed properly in CPSI.  They are also responsible for maintaining knowledge of procedures, equipment and Cath Lab policies, and for keeping facilities in proper working order. 
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Graduate of a two (2) year JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
    • License/Certifications: Current registration by A.R.R.T. Current license by State of Maine. Current BLS Required and ACLS certification preferred. CV/CT registered preferred. Valid Maine Driver’s License.
    • Experience:  One to two (1-2) years’ experience as technologist preferred.
    • Active telephone.
