The Glickman Lauder Center of Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders is a full-service integrated treatment, research, and training center designed to meet the needs of Maine families, generate new treatment models, and advance autism science for the benefit of all.

Position Highlights:

What you will do:

  • Contribute to the achievement of quality intervention and student outcomes utilizing evidenced based teaching strategies or applied behavior analysis.
  • Support students in achieving their highest potential through acquiring new skills and reducing challenging behaviors under the supervision a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Special Education Teacher
  • Provide a structured and supportive educational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective behavior analytic treatment through implementation of individually designed programs for children with development disorders.
  • Record and analyze data to track progress
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) – “What you will need”:

  • Education: Please see License/Certifications
  • License/Certifications: Behavioral Tech (0-59 college credits in approved study), Special Ed Tech II (60-89 college credits in approved study) or Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90+ credits in approved study). Certification as School-Based Behavioral Health Professional will be provided upon hire.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience working with children or youth with developmental disorders, mental health disorders, and/or challenging behavior in school, hospital, or residential setting preferred.
